I regularly switch between a tripod with hog saddle and a bipod. Still hunting for hogs, give me the tall bipod. Calling predators at night, I like to lock the rifle in the hog saddle.

Three pieces of cured river cane tied together stretchable cord. Adjustable, lightweight tough and not expensive. Works great! Doubles as a walking stick.

Tripod for sure.. For covering a bunch of ground I’d go trigger sticks or bog pod tripod..

If you’re sitting a bunch and just using it in something like a ground blind, I’d go bog pod deathgrip

Luckett Sticks if you want stability for packing in where weight counts. Tripod if weight isn’t a concern.

I use a bipod for both sitting for squirrels, and tree/elevated stands for hogs. One thing to note---I am not a long-range shooter--probably 100 yds max for me. At night with the thermal, and favorable winds, I can sneak right on up to the hogs.

Not sure if its what you are looking for. and my choice is not exactly in the "budget friendly".. but it has been the absolute best decision.

I chose a hog saddle set up.

                      Aluminum tripod
                      Ball head
                      Hog saddle mount.

Absolute rock solid, and weighs less than the Carbon Fiber BOG death grip per BOGs listed weight.

Pic is of a buddy using it to sight in a new Ravin crossbow.

I hunt pigs alot.. and read reviews on the cheaper aluminum BOG and was happy with the details in some of the reviews.

My setup also will function as a spotting scope set up for western hunts. It goes in the back pack until its needed.

Kopfjager makes something similar as well but in the same price range.

Well, I went the other direction on budget. Got the design idea from Glen.

Tripod - 5 bucks at goodwill. re-purposed 6x9 cutting board & some rattle can paint...

Worked great for my boys for many years.

Anybody use knock-off brands or camera tri-pods? I'm looking for 1 but can't justify $100-200 for a tripod. I saw some that look like decent units on ebay for $40-60. We'll solely use it for sitting in a pop-up. I don't care how heavy or camouflaged it is.
