That is odd it would be plastic. Is it some type of polymer to cut weight ? Or maybe just as strong as metal? Beretta not known for cutting corners so I bet there's some kind of scientific explanation out there. Lol or maybe not.

Wish I had seen this two weeks ago. Just bought a Xcel. Any color with with bolt release, bolt handle, and trigger job is really a good deal.

It's plastic like a Glock, LOL. Just feels and looks super cheap. Like an after thought and hurry to get in production item. The Briley stuff looks and I hear feels much better.
