New Suppressor on AR10 won't cycle

New to the suppressor playing field. Have a Surefire SOCOM Gen2 7.95" on an AR10 DPMS Oracle .308 with 16". Won't cycle with suppressor but works flawless without it. Understand may need to change the spring. How do you find out what to order ?

    Thanks for any advice

    Change it's name to maybefire.

Ha jk, I have no advice but comedy bump for you and interested in input.

I would look into getting a hydrolic buffer spring. It will help with cycling and with recoil.

That’s the opposite of what you normally see.

What is it doing when not cycling? Does it eject spent round and pick up a new cartridge and load it or what?

          Adjustable gas block

You need to get an adjustable gas block in order to regulate how much gas is using. Once you do that and find the right tune it will shoot perfectly.

Where is it ejecting the shell? 1:00? 5:00?

adjustable gas block. Mine did the same thing. Runs flawless now.

What everyone else said about the adjustable gas block. Pretty easy to swap out. Once you get it changed out, shoot and adjust until the the shells eject properly.

I ran into a similar problem with my .300 BO SBR. Ended up needing a heavier buffer spring weight (more than double the weight it had), and it's infinitely more reliable. If that swap hadn't worked, I was going to head down the adjustable gas block route. Good luck!

Ar10 are notorious for not running well with suppressor! You need to get an adjustable gas block and make sure it is ejecting out at around 3 oclock. If you are like me and got tired of jacking with it, order you a piston driven and be done

Incase you havent figured it out yet get an adj gas block and be done with it. Had the same problem with my DPMS now it runs like a clock.

Gets hung up ejecting first fired round.

I would adjust gas and If gas isn't adjustable, might look at adding an adjustable gas block.

Question on the adjustable gas block... I recently put a supressor on my AR10 with an adjustable gas block. When I did so, I actually adjusted the gas block all the way closed and it was still cycling almost too much (felt like it was slamming the spring all the way back... after shooting a while and getting a little dirty, it stopped cycling completely... I assume I just need to open up the gas block a little?

My gun has the JP silent buffer... would adding weight to that help me get in a better adjustment range for the gas block, so that I'm not at the nearly fully closed position? I can swap the steel weights with tungsten weights.
