    You are correct sir
I ultimately changed them out for different & more durable hardware

Radar, hard to beat the good, simple design from 32drawlength, I like it. Instead of carabiners, hanging hardware something like maybe pliers twisting baling wire, or? I got the things to build this one already, good idea. Radar, you just stack a few 2x4s and pipe and plates, carry out to those New Mexico rocks, and start shooting. Should be easy to replace shot up parts.

            Portable steel target

Got a set of these in recently but haven’t gotten the fencing material to put together. I ordered a 4”, 6” & 2-8”; 3/8” gongs.

I built some really slick ones and used all thread rod for the main support and square tube for the legs. Goes up and down in a snap and is super adjustable. I'll have to get a pic of them.

I really like this design. You can built it cheaper. And all you have to supply is a 2x4

Cheap and easy. I used a lag bolt to hold them on the 2x4.

They’re going to break eventually, but it’s cheap.

I got a couple steel targets being cut out now, they are AR plate that is 1/2 inch thick and 24 inches diameter. Those small wood frames probably wont hold that much weight. These are going to be set at 1500 yards.

Meltingfeather, clicked on that link and that’s industrial strength answer. I like it, will take lots of shots, a real good idea.

Walked out back and took a few pics. Heavy wall square tube for the leg brackets and all thread for main support. Welded small nuts on the all thread nuts so I can bolt my targets with ease. In this case I used rubber bungee straps, but you can use whatever. Very adjustable and comes completely apart really fast. I use square tube legs normally, but brought them to the farm for another target stand and haven't cut more for this one. Son stuck some little wooden legs in so he can shoot it with his lellet rifle. Lol. Pics may not be very clear, but it does work great.
