    Portable steel target

I am looking for a steel target that is portable and somewhere around 18"-24" diameter. The frame needs to be easily taken apart and stored. I dont want it to take up a lot of room when I haul it. Someone have plans or knows anyone that builds one?

There is a place in northeast Houston called GA steel that sells AR 500 targets. They are cheap and you can make your own stand cheap as well.

18 inch round at 950 yards. Loop of firehose bolted to target. I welded 2 inch tubing in a small u and that sits on 2 t-posts. Breaks down easy to haul in the truck or trailer.

If you’d rather buy a kit look at JC steel targets. He has a mounting system that he sells with his targets. I have some of these as well and am happy with them.

I use a old A frame porch swing frame I got for free. Threw the swing away and hung steel target with scrap peices of chain. Comes apart in 5 piece and easy to setup

Where are you located? I have some pretty nice portable stands built out of steel conduit pipe.
My favorite it simple T post with target hangers.

How thick is that 950 yard plate?

I bought a couple at a gun show that are all take down. They are torso shaped. Spray painting them florescent green makes them easy to see at 300-800 yards.

Nice simple design. Lead spatter will destroy those carabiners in a dozen shots or so. At least they did when I tried it.
