    no way i would intentionally choose a 7.62x39 over a 30-30,, except in a battle field, in the hunting field the 30-30 is superior,,,

    the 7.62x39 is not known for accuracy, also i have never seen a 30-30 that was not accurate

        After taking hogs with 6.5 creedmoor, i'll probably never use anything else unless i'm using subs close-in for .300 blk. The 6.5 has fantastic ballistics and extremely accurate even in less expensive guns.

          6.5 Creedmore with cheap hornady 129’s for hogs.
          At any reasonable range. All the talk about head shots is not relevant
          after the first shot. After that I hit them where I can running
          And the .223 doesn’t always work well for that.

                  I have an AR in 7.62x39. I have a thermal scope mounted, and shoot the cheap Tula 154 grain soft point ammo. I have killed 14 hogs this summer, all here in Georgia. My son also has one, minus the thermal, and shoots the same ammo. He killed 3 deer with his. No problems. Just use good mags and you are golden.
