      Lower power usually has a little longer eye relief. You can go on Midwayusa and look at the eye relief of different power scopes and see.

              Same here - my 45-70 is gonna be used inside 200 and probably inside 100 the majority of the time. I put a Leupold VX3i 4.5-14 on mt Browning 1885 - I likey...A LOT

                  I have a Leupold VX-R 2-7 with the Firedot reticle on my 1895 SBL and I think that is the perfect scope for that rifle. It has plenty of eye relief and a magnification range that is ideal for the 45-70. I also put Talley rings on it.

                              Picked up a vx3 1.5-5. I’ll post pics of the finished project. Might be awhile. I think his backlog is pretty deep. But he sent pics of him working on it so idk.
