Need scope help for a 45/70

i lucked into a used compact Burris 1.5 x 5 post cross hair a number of years ago,,, it has been ideal,, i sighted dead on at 100 with the tip of the post,, i get pretty much dead on at 200 with the cross hairs..... very clear very fast in close

Leupold #: 58810 or Leupold #: 119675 , both are scout scopes and I have the VX-R its real nice and has 7 inches eye relief.

Man I am digging my 1-6 VX6...I have it on the M16 right now.

Guess I'll need to find another for the SCAR as it's neckid now. Could go a little higher power but like the true 1x.

This would be my choice if I had the money for it.

I'm running a 1-4 Millet and like it okay. It's held up well in the 4 years I've had it and maintains zero very well.

The 1-6 or even the 2-12 VX6 would really extend the capability of the rifle. Mine shoots 3 inch groups at 200 yards with the 1-4 millet and I've shot 1 deer and 2 hogs at that range. The 2 MOA dot seems to almost cover the animal at that range.

I thought you were looking for a LER scope, most of the scopes mentioned are 3.5" or 4" eye relief. Are you going to use a picatinny rail? The XS Lever Scout rail is very strong and allows for long eye relief scopes.
