Benelli M4 is definitely the way to go. If you pick one up try to find one with the adjustable stock and if you're into NFA I've seen the 14in police trade ins for not terrible money.
OP asked for "auto"... KSG is a pump... I have one of those too, but not real fond of it...
As far as being a "shooter" my M4 just hits where I look... Most fun I've had with it is shoot 5 stand flurries with it. None of the other shooters even get a shot until I've run the 8 round out of the M4... It is soooo smooth!
The SRM is smaller and very nimble. It is also more flexible for the variety of ammo that can be shot selectively...
The M4 will however cycle just about any round that will feed from the heavy magnum loads to the light aluminum base target loads... It literally just does not misfire...
Have a 20ga M2 that is the same way, though it is not a tactical version. I do have a tube extending to magazine capacity to 10 rounds... Can't wait to try it out in South Texas this winter on quail...
