Agreed. I don’t believe you’ll find a more accurate factory rifle out of the box...

I am a huge savage fan. Even the cheapest ones are accurate and dependable.

Browning X-Bolt. Got one in 30-06 three years ago and couldn’t be happier with it. I’m getting 3/4 MOA at 200 yards with a Leupold VX-3i mounted on it Talley Mounts/Rings

Are you pleased with it? Accuracy? Quality?

The Winchester featherweight has one of my favorite stocks on any rifle. I have a 270 in that rifle and it is by far my favorite. Great shooter as well.

I second the Sako. It will be my next rifle purchase, but in .308.

I have no experience with either, but I would look at

                        Tikka CTR
                        Bergara Ridge

Traded into a 700 CDL a while back, i like it real well. It would get my vote with the Winchester Featherweight coming in a close second, although i like the looks of the winchester a little better.

This year they are in 6.5x55, if I had the money that would be my choice. My next choice would be to spend a little more and buy a Winchester super grade in Maple in 270 or 30-06, I want one of them bad.
Same here. Those maple stocks on a classic round like a 30-06 seem like an extremely classic rifle

You cant put a remington , browning, savage, tika, ect . In the same class as a sako it wouldn't be fair the Sako would out preform them all.
