What is the difference between Leupold freedom series and a VXII? Just window shopping now but there is not much of a price difference. Did the freedom series replace the VXI and VXII series?

OP- I believe they did replaced both the VX1 and VX2 lines while keeping VX2 glass. So it’ll be a step down from the VX3

I find the Freedom better in some respects than the VX3i. I can’t attest to their long term durabilty yet but the features, low light, and clarity are awesome!
Haters will be haters.
How can made in USA and quality be a bad thing?

They used to be the go to IMHO... And now... Ehh, significantly more bang for your buck at every price point from one company or another... Heck used to be know for incredible warranty and customer service and I've heard things that make me doubt things about that now... Several others that I think are doing a better jobLast edited by catslayer; 07-23-2018, 08:35 PM.

I'm a FREE MARKET believer,MAKE BETTER PRODUCT. or cheaper product, and sell it cheaper. Or otherwise figure out how to interest me. I'm going to buy quality I need first, what I get the most for my $$$ from second, what I like 3rd. If all those equal, I'll look if American made. Nothing bad about it, but it's marketing and nothing more.
Don't HATE the Scopes just don't think they are what they once were. I'd take them over a lot of brands, but it isn't a GIVEN like it once was

You wont find too many other companies though with the customer service like Leupold. They have replaced a pair of binoculars and a scope for me free of charge, no questions and Fast. The binocular eyepiece broke and instead of replacing, they sent me a brand new pair of upgraded Binoculars. Had a cheaper Leupold scope, and they did the same thing with it and the reason it messed up was 100% my fault.Last edited by Fmjag64; 07-24-2018, 07:22 AM.

There is nothing in the same price range that compares to the freedom based on my current experience with them.
