Following this. Like Blake said I’ve had several vortex hunting scopes and don’t like them. With that being said after all my research the next scope I’m picking up will be the gen 2 razor

Pretty much decided on the Tangent Theta unless someone talks me out of it but it seems to be top of the line.

Other than lack of reticles I don’t think anyone could have a legitimate argument against it haha

Agree that they are limited on reticles but the Gen2XR seems like it should work.

I agree. Just saying that’s about all someone could complain about.

Kahles 6-24×56 is the brides maid with NF being a distant 3rd. I'm not a Vortex "hunting scope" fan; however they nailed it with the Razor HD G2. It's less expensive than the others, yet weighs nearly 1 pound more.

An interesting fact to know would be: of the PRS shooters (top 100 list) did they buy their scope outright, are they sponsored by brand X, or did they win the scope as a door prize / award based on finish. Vortex has gone "all in" and invested a ton of money into PRS. Best of luck on your scope choice and future shoots.

I'm willing to bet that of all those vortex in prs many are freebies or gotten at huge discounts.

You can't question s&b or nightforces reliability thats for sure. It would be interesting to see how vortex would hold up to abuse in combat by our armed forces.

Im also willing to be that those at the top of the PRS circuit could get free/discounted S&B or NF scopes as well. At the end of the day, its about winning and they use their equipment they use for a reason. Those that loose will not get sponsors/equipment.

I have the Vortex 4.7-27x56 and Im waiting on rings to come in so I can install it. I cannot wait to get it out and see how I like it.

At the end of the day, the gun and scope are not going to make you the perfect shooter - thats up to you.

I am sure the Vortex scopes are great but I have owned three and still own one and also a pair of binoculars and they are nothing compared to my Swarovski binoculars, Burris Scopes, Leupold Scopes and even an older Nikon Monarch. I just can't put them in the same class as S&B, Kahles and now Tangent Theta. I didn't even know TT existed until yesterday and now I am ordering one.

                      Scope

Of the top guys(or guys with most money) I see 1/3 razors 1/3 khales 1/3 mixed upper end aka sb and night force. With khales taking over. Lasted top PRS pole. And might swap trigger to triggertech. And to really game you really need a scope with a fine windage holds. 1/2 mil really don’t cut it. AKA the AMR.

Dang. You ordered it without seeing one? Lol. More money than I’ve got clearly haha. Post pics when you get it put together. You have much LR or PRS experience?
