    Long Range Scope

Ordered a very custom gun from APR today. Apparently I won some award.

Now I need to decide on glass. Schmidt & Bender PMii, Kahles 624i, and Tangent Theta are the only ones being considered.

I have not looked thru any of these and really only like the reticles offered by Kahles. But I have ZERO experience as a long range shooter so I am open to suggestions.

This will be for competition shooting only.

If you got the budget look a the Nightforce ATACR line of scopes. If not then give a serious look at the Nikon Black X1000 line of optics.

Everyone always thinks more power more power for long range scopes but that's not the case. MOST if not ALL competition PRS shooters run 12x to 18x due to ease of target acquisition. I'm putting a 4-16x50mm Nikon Black X1000 on my 6.5 Creedmoor build and will be completely happy with it as I have the same optic on my 308 and for the money it's crystal clear and repeatable on adjustments.

Kahles, S&B or tangent Theta .

That said, why are you limited to those 3 only

I am in the same boat and can’t make a decision lol. I have been deciding between the three you listed and two more. I ordered a sphur Mount that should be Home when I get back from the ranch.

            Minox
            NF ATACR

The tangent theta is going to cost a good bit more than the other ones. Also look on sniper hide for used glass as I have seen them listed from $2300 to $2500 for everything except the tangent.

I have a Kahles 624i with the SKMR3 reticle. This scope is awesome but shows some CA on bright sunny days.

Tangent Thetas turrets are 10x better than anything else available. You’re gonna pay for them though.

S&B are great but don’t offer the reticles that I like

Love my new ATACR with Mil-C.

Would like to get my hands on a Minox ZP5 with the M4 reticle. I have heard it is awesome.

If TT is in your budget I don’t understand why there are other options being considered.

Don’t the TT and S&B cost the exact same or am I wrong. I’m seeing both scopes around 3500-4500

I think one is $3250 to $3500 and the other is $4500.

I have 2 S&B PMII''s and have been very happy with them.
                            One is a 5-25×56, the other a 3-20×50.
