New Load
Quickload is your friend. You may have to build a custom case profile but it will give you the data if case dimensions are known.
This is assuming you are talking about a wildcat cartridge.
If not PM me and I'll see what I can do with Quickload.

This was common in the early days of working up the Grendel.
Powder burn charts and use the limited data.....then start low and use a chronograph to find pressure spikes before the brass shows anything.
Then stop when you see a spike.
What case, powder and bullet. The GS may have answers to the questions you seek.

its actually for the 30-30. The only data for the company is for a bullet 15 grains lighter. There isn't a similar bullet that is near the weight and length for it. The bullet weighs 165 grains but is longer than every other 30-30 bullet out there. Actualy the 150 grain Nosler E-tip is the only bullet longer.
I'm looking to load the 165 grain Peregrine bushmaster over varget in the 30-30. I have a marlin 336. All the specs work out just fine there just isn't any data for it. like i said they have it for their 150 grain just not the 165.
Before anyone says anything about cup and core bullets being sufficient for the 30-30 i know they are but what good would it be to be a reloader if i'd be content with whats on the shelfs.

I would run with that data if I was in your shoes.
Run a test ladder then run for accuracy.
