Thanks...adj sights on a SAA kill the romance for me.

I have always wanted one to carry around the ranch & pop off with some mild loads...I got a strange like for the 2nd gens, but if that gun had a shorter bbl it would be tempting.

The bbl would be market New Frontier...the bbl & box on yours is SAA only correct.

I've never seen a frontier without the adj sights like M16 mentions...I'm not very familiar with the frontier but does it have the same mechanics / clicks when turning the cylinder as the standard saa??

      Plug the SN in here

Here is a "new frontier" box.

Here is the gun. Notice the adjustable sights.

        Yours here is a .44.

        The OP posted a .45

Would they use the same model description on cross calibers ?

I haven't seen such, not saying it's this way but I never seen any Python other than 357, no officers [emoji61] other than .45.

I'm not a huge gun fanatic either as I am a bow fan.

Yes. The SAA came in several calibers as did the New Frontier models. And by the way. The Python was also made in .38 special. So not all of them are.357 magnum.

Even proof house has two links putting frontier & Buntline together & then another for SAA & the frontier.

New Frontier pistols actually have an NF suffix while the traditional Single Action Army uses an SA suffix...I looked at a few frontiers online and they all had the NF.

            You have a SAA friend...

According to Kathy Hoyt , the Colt Historian, Colt Never made, released, or kept any experimental 41 Magnum or larger Pythons. There have been some fakes out there though.

If I was on the inside...there would have been at least one made.

Not sure if I ever told you, but had s/n 500 on a Colt Grizzly stolen from the UPS Hub here in the valley the day before delivery some time ago...talk about bringing up bad memories. I made myself sick fretting over it.
