I used to sell Monarch/Wolf/Bear yada yada yada by the tractor trailer load back when the world was going to end at Y2K. It didn't have a name brand in those days, it was all just called Tula, which is the city in Russia where it was made.
It came in a fairly generic box with almost no label on it. At the time you could only get it in East Bloc calibers (for AKs SKS etc). Sold a ton of 7.62x39 and 9mm Makarov.
At some point in the early 2000s they started labeling the ammo as "hunting ammo" for import purposes but "hunting ammo" was a pretty major stretch. They also started selling "Hollow Points", also a pretty major stretch. I looked like FMJ with the tip cut off. Then the started calling it Monarch/Wolf/Bear, but it was the same ammo.
Then, they started making ammo for ARs but there was A LOT of issues with it. My phone rang a lot with guys telling me about it not feeding and the issues with the lacquer on it.
In short, this is very cheaply made ammo. Yes, "it shoots", which is all some Bubba's and Cletus' want.....but I wouldn't run it through an AR that I cared about.
