Hey, I'm older than him. I'm a good shot. I don't need to practice. I shoot an air rifle regularly and I run enough rounds at predators and pigs I stay sharp. I'm not as good as I once was but I kill what I shoot at more often than not.
Running cash down range for enjoyment isn't my thing. I have the muscle memory and trigger control down. I'm good with my weapons. No need for me to spend money and time on practice.

My Remmy.243 likes the monarch 100gr just fine. Shoots true with Remington core loks. My Glock 23 also will eat them like a fat kid eats cake (as mentioned above). But my sons NEF .243 single shot does not like them at all. Every other round will not eject.
Just a cheap round that might or might not work. That's why I only use them in guns I know they run in and only for practice.

I reckon it was the breaking in of the action that caused poor overall performance. Ill still blame crap ammo and not a product from a good firearm company.

I have run several hundred rounds through my ruger and had no problems what so ever. I also happen to sell guns and the ruger is one of the more popular firearms we sell. This is the first negative I have heard from it and I wouldn't blame it all on the gun. Crap ammo is crap ammo period. Should it run it? Yes. Is it expected to run well? Eh. Lastly, just because your gun runs it doesn't mean that it runs it well or that it is very good for it.
