Thinking about snagging one of these but I wanted to see if anyone has experience with one before I do. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

G7 Rangefinder

I've used one for about three years now. I've found that they're spot on in their corrections for pressure/temp. Howeever, I've only hunted up to about 6k feet since I got mine, and ended up with a shot at about 75 yards on that hunt. As a result, I don't know that it was a very accurate test of the ballistic computer given the short range.
I use mine with a NF G7 scope on my Gunwerks 7mm mag. I've made one shot kills out to 563 yards with it, and shot targets out to 800.
My biggest problem with it is not really the rangefinder itself, but just using it. I've found that, as I've gotten older, my ability to steady it on targets over 500 yards just isn't very good. My eyes aren't too good either, especially in low light, and it would help if it had a little more magnification when you really get out there.
As I've said, though, I have absolute confidence in the ballistic computer itself. I even set a profile up for my .257 in moa clicks and it works like a charm.

G7 Rangefinder
I'd take a hard look at the Kilo 2400 from Sig. I feel like the G7 is overpriced - you're paying too much for the name.
Here's a review from LongRangeHunting that you may find very interesting:
I'm currently using a Kilo 2000 with a Weatherflow meter and the Applied Ballistics app on my phone, thanks to CajunBlake's suggestion. It's an incredible system. The Weatherflow meter also works great with Trasol and StrelokPro. I used to want a G7 and a Kestrel as they WERE the cat daddy of rangefinders and wind meters , imo. Now, I want the Kilo 2400. I think Sig and Weatherflow are G7 and Kestrel killers as they do the same things (sometimes more) in smaller packages for a LOT less money. There will always be people loyal to any brand and there's nothing wrong with that. Just wanted to point out an option. At least check out the review - there's some comparisons to the G7 which the reviewer uses.
The Kilo 2400 can hold 4 different rifle profiles at a time, where the G7 (I believe) only holds one. The AB app can store 100 profiles and uploads them to the K2400 wirelessly; so you can change them out easily and in seconds.
Also, the K2400 comes with a tripod mount that makes ranging at distance MUCH easier. Not to mention, the K2400 ranges further than the G7. Just sayin.
Hope this helps

It's a great RF and tool if you're gonna hunt various weather conditions and elevations. I have used them for 3 years and dropped animals out to 750yds 1st shot. It'll give you yardage/MOA/Mil read back. You build a data sheet with your gun and have a turret built or just input the info directly into a saved parameter for that setup and when you range a target, it'll give you the adjusted distance in yard/MOA/Mil however you set it up. You can use any scope with adjustable turret, doesn't have to be G7 scope. It'll give you a calculated corrected distance out to 1400yds. After that you'll need a app,etc to figure out drop yourself. With a hand held meter you can also get wind holdoff in 5mph increaments on the RF to help with your wind call quicker. Just don't leave it in the full sun or on hot surface for too long cause it can affect the temp, etc readings on the RF. PM if you have additional questions.

Mine works well with MOA and MIL on scopes that are of high quality build.
The more accurate your average muzzle velocity recording is, the more consistent the G7 is.
Slight adjustment of BC and muzzle velocity may be needed, but once you get the settings dialed in, the rangefinder is amazing.
Only con is size, but cell phones used to be in bags so.....

Thanks for the correction on the specs on the G7, Jake. I kinda lost interest in them after I found the poor man solution with the K2000. Lol

That's surely true but the K2400 doesn't need the phone AND it comes with a wind meter - something the G7 doesn't. And it's cheaper. If you're going to make those really long shots, a wind meter is pretty darn indispensable.
I'm more likely to leave my range finder than my phone, lol! You're right, though - if battery dies, you're out of luck. Same is true of your range finder or any other electronics you're using to generate solutions. Better know how to range with your reticle, just in case.
