Man you started out great with the detail pics on the truing process. Seeing the machine work is my favorite part of any build. I wish you would have been able to post more of the build process but I understand being busy. I want an lathe and machining classes soooo bad. Anyway that is a great looking deadly rifle! That 6.5 family (260, 6.5 creed, and 6.5 lapua) are hard to beat.

I wish I had more pics too. It is interesting. All the pics were sent to me by my GS. He was nice enough to me send those.

That sure is a purty gun. Would you mind shooting me a PM on what a budget custom build would run me?

Ballpark prices, use what applies to your desired build

            $400 donor action
            $175 blueprint / true action & bolt
            $350 barrel
$275 chamber, thread barrel onto action
$125 thread protector for suppressor (optional)
$250 used HS take-off stock + $100 to skim bed (optional)
            $600+ Manners / McM stock + $250 to pillar & glass bed
$125 Timney or $215 Jewell trigger upgrade
            $150 cerakote metal (optional)
$0 if you already have BDL bottom metal or go ADL blind magazine
$125 for PTG detach magazine BM
            $60 AI 5-rd magazine

That should be close. There are GS's and custom barrel makers who offer package deals on metal work which will save you even more $$$. You can build a custom rifle on a Rem 700 action starting around $1300 depending on the GS

Man I know the feeling. I try to get pics on every build and they are few and far between.
