    Crux Titanium Suppressors

Anyone know anything about em? My daughter, noise makes her nervous she says lol. So as much as I don't care about Suppressors I'm gonna have to get one. The Crux are Titanium and very light. I don't want a lawnmower muffler hanging off the barrel. I'm looking at the Ark 30. It's only 12oz and only adds 5.5" to overall length, it's 7.5" long and only 1.5" across. The dimensions are exactly what I'm looking for. Reviews I've read have been great. Just wanted to see if anyone has had their hands on one. It'll be for her Rem 700 LTF 6.8 SPC. So im guessing the 30 cal can will work? Also not even interested in Sub Sonic rounds for hunting at all. There was a guy at the range the other day shooting super sonic out of a 308 Win with a Suppressor and it didn't bother her, excuse me, make her nervous. [emoji2]

That's an awful long write up just to blame your daughter for you "having to get one" haha

Okay now for the helpful part. Ive had the ark 30 for about a year now. I use it in my AR style 223 and 6.8 shooting super's. I love it and it makes shooting so much more enjoyable. I also have a saker 762 made by silencer co and run that on my 300blk. The weight difference is noticeable with the ark being lighter. Whatever route you go I would suggest it's direct thread type.

Crux are the real deal and made in Texas. They usually have no point of aim change from un-suppressed. I have a Thunderbeast Ultra 9 but wouldn't hesitate to buy from Crux.

No sir you don't understand. I'm 110% not a fan of em at all. I think they are ugly as sin and totally ruin a bolt guns looks. It's absolute necessity that I'm even entertaining the thought of one.

Thanks for the suggestion on the direct thread. Even though I have no clue what in the blue hell ya mean lol!!!! [emoji2][emoji2][emoji2][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

I'm guessing you mean instead of the muzzle brake type attachment they make?

          Crux Titanium Suppressors

          I have one ( ARK 30) also shooting a 6.8 through it.

I'm not overly impressed with the noise reduction but maybe I expect too much.

I shot it back to back last week through my 300 bo shooting subs comparing it to a

9" Dead Air Sandman L"used on the same gun.

Of course the 9"er was quieter, but only as much as you'd expect from an extra 1.5"
(yeah I know there is some giggle jokes in there somewhere)

I emailed Crux asking if I could have mine upgraded to the quick detach muzzle device set-up and expressed my concerns with sub par results to my ears.

The reply I received was -

"Our suppressors are meant to be pushed hard. The harder you push them the better they work. For that reason subsonic ammo is actually louder than sonic ammunition when running our cans."

I was a little dumbfounded by that response and on one hand, no dugh the more noise you put in the higher decibel reduction you will receive. one the other hand- subs louder than supers??

I replied with the same question I asked the time before- can I have my can upgraded to the quick detach type (instead of direct thread) in hopes that the muzzle break would provide more sound reduction. (as the gun shop selling me the can said it would)

          Their reply was..... no reply.

So take their customer support for what it's worth.

The first time I used it I thought it was a little loud so I called the gun store where I bought it and asked what gives. They told me I need to shoot a hundred rounds through it to break it in.

Being a tight wad and not wanting to blow 100rds of 308 or 6.8, I purchased a thread adapter and let my son shoot some .223 / 556 through it -

(muddy shirt = just got back from a spin on the four wheelers)

Sorry, we couldn’t find that page

Here it is in use on a doe a month ago with a 6.8 (supersonics of course) -

          (excuse the corny commentary)

Sorry, we couldn’t find that page

It is what I own and will use. But I still use hearing protection with it when shooting from a blind.
Out in the open, none needed IMO.

That supers and subs comment they made is the dumbest thing I've heard in quite awhile.

No doubt, that ^ was a direct copy and paste from the email I received.

Maybe in some scientific lab certain frequencies are lower - heck if I can make any sense of it.

Subs are quieter in every single can I have heard. It's simple science. Haha

Well its a moot point for me. I'm not even interested in Subs.

If you're little girl says she wants to shoot subs then you'll like subs!!

Hell no! I'm not into chasing anymore.

If you think cans ruin the look of a bolt gun but your daughter wants to shoot, then just buy the quietest one you can afford. A short, lightweight can is gonna look just as ugly as a longer, heavier one.

Not sure which model I'm waiting for to come in, but think this is the flavor my class iii guy is wanting me to go with for my SCAR 17.

I have an ARK45 for my 458 Socom and 450 Markin and I have a Crux Archangel 30 that I swap between a couple of rifles.

They are stupid light and suppress very well. I would get the PMS over a direct thread.

Jake with Circle Star Firearms is a sponsor here and dealer for them.

I think the light weight helps reduce the change in POI.
My friends heavier can mentioned above dropped his AR-10 4" at 100yds.
