    Reloads not chambering

So my BIL and I cranked out some rounds today outta the ARs.. Went thru a few different recipes I've worked up in the last few months. I had a few that wouldn't chamber all the way out of the magazine, but would do just fine loaded one at a time not from a magazine. What would cause that?

Check the oal. Did you trim EVERY case and check fired length on all cases? What bullet? Sst's don't always feed well for me in my 6.8

Could need the shoulder bumped back a little more. The extra drag from being in the magazine might be slowing the bolt carrier down just enough to keep it from slamming it home. I run all my semi auto loads through a case gauge.

You MUST FL RESIZE for the AR...seat to the mag. If you are doing this, then there may be a problem with the FL die.

Every case gets a FL resize, trim, and is measured individually for case OAL as well as loaded OAL. When I loaded them individually, there were no issues at all with chambering, firing, or extracting. Just weird to me that a few got hung up and wouldn't go all the way into battery from the magazine

The ones that didn't chamber fully were kinda jammed in there too. When I pulled the charging handle back, I had to yank it back pretty hard. Would that be an issue with the die? Why would most of them have no issues, but ~10% get stuck like that? No mixed headstamps, all once fired winchester brass

Something in the resizing step. Less lube than others perhaps?

Put a quarter turn into your sizing die

Maybe.. I toned it down a little after I had a few dented necks, but I wouldn't think that'd matter as long as it sized the whole thing would it?

Tighten it up another 1/4 turn?

Yep. It sounds to me like the shoulder is a little too far forward.

So you think if I tighten it up just a little bit more, it should take care of them sticking like that? I haven't ever had any issues with my AR reloads until this weekend. I'm still pretty new to loading for it tho, so I knew I'd have some kinks to work out

I run a small base die set (http://www.rcbs.com/Products/Dies-by...AR-Series.aspx) to keep this very thing from happening. The Lee set that I had previously would cause the same thing you describe to happen. No issues since.

No issues running these in a single stage? Think that'll fix me up if not. Thanks

Edit: I'm pretty sure this is what I've got.. I'll have to double check when I get home, and if it's not I'll be ordering a set of these

Is your full length sizer a small base die? The problem you are having sounds like you are not.
