I don't know for a fact but I am willing to bet that graysonhogs is in a very small group of TBH guys that could produce a suppressor that would be right along the lines of any other company made one

Lol ironic that you say that since I'm an electrician and do plan on wiring my own house. [emoji12]

But not quite the same as building something to contain 65,000 psi of pressure at the end of your arms.

As mentioned earlier, there's lots of reasons that commercial cost what they do. Some of it is probably driven by a small market, but there's tons of other reasons.

It's just not worth saving a couple hundred bucks to me to take the risk even if I had the skills.

I'll save about $10k doing my house though. [emoji6]

I am curious though, do most of not all home built can made to be direct thread or do some have QD style attachments on them?

You deal in lots of volts and I deal in machinery and parts that withstand more than 65k psi. But truth be known, Id rather make them myself, run them through qc, than buy one. I know we aren't talking a lot on of money. I also enjoy doing it. First one will be screw on. Then I'm going to look at some QD types

TWANGnBANG recently reviewed the Dead Air Sandman, and the video shows that his groups, which were already great, got even better using the Dead Air can.

"Though not marketed as a precision rifle silencers, I found the Sandman L to tighten the groups I shoot with my Wilson Combat 308 Super Sniper by about 0.1-0.2 MOA." YMMV.

Most are DT, but some guys have made them to accept QD mounts. From what I’ve read, Harvester mount for an ASR, YHM, and Griffin taper have all been used.

I have been shooting my suppressor--made on an old 12x36 Taiwan ex-school shop lathe--for about a year, and still have my face. Actually, a suppressor doesn't have to contain 65000 PSI. as the gasses escape into a much larger area than the inside of the barrel. Here is the forum that will answer more questions than you will ever think to ask. Enjoy!
