    I'm sure it has no impact on performance but I can see where it would bug me as well.

    Talk to them about it and if needed send it back after season. One thing I've learned about these kind of companies is they want you 100% satisfied with their product.

    Will be interested to see how this turns out.

      the TAC 30 actions are stainless steel and coated with black oxide

      it should be pretty smooth ... call Jerry or Curtis and let them know

        What is sticking about it? When closing? When opening? Loaded? Unloaded? Sliding? Using lapping compound is removing material which should not be necessary unless material was added or moved. Moved as in not having bolt lugs greased and galling the bolt. Custom actions have tighter tolerances and need to be greased correctly. I've got Stiller and Defiance Deviant tactical and the Stiller is just as slick as the Defiance. Did the gunsmith distort the anti-binding rail when installing the action on the barrel? Using the wrong action wrench can bend it. You can remove the firing pin assembly and without a round inserted it should just fall closed.
