I figured out why it was so much cheaper - it's a 2nd focal plane reticle where all the others are FFP. Not such a deal any more.

If your going to use the scope to range distant objects then FFP makes some sense but if not I prefer SFP.

Absolutely nothing wrong with a 2nd FP scope. Before the tactical hoopla you would be hard pressed to find FFP glass.
