Nothing special here guys.
This rifle usually stays up at camp and is a back up rifle if anyones gun or scope goes on the fritz. It is a Alpine Supreme. Basically a FN Mauser action re barreled in .243 by an English Company in the early 60's. Nice attention to detail on this gun also. It sports Old El Paso Weaver glass V7 that I had sent out and rebuilt by Iron Sight. Not a bad shooting rifle, a bit heavy, but accurate.

I have 2 go to rigs. My favorite is my 7 Rem mag bore rider. Defiance deviant hunter. Proof research sendero light barrel. McMillan htg stock. Jewell trigger. Leupold mk6 3-18x44.
Second is my 6.5-284 Norma bore rider. Stiller predator action. Lilja #5 barrel. McMillan stock. Jewell trigger. Leupold vx6 3-18x50.
Both guns are 26" barrels. The 6.5 goes as a backup but sits all the time since the 7 was born lol.

My father-in-law swears by head shots. Clean hit or miss. No gut shots. Always used the trusty 700CDL .30-06 with a 3-9 Redfield Widefield scope.after the 700CDL started ghost firing, he moved over to a Weatherby Vanguard .30-06 with a Nikon Prostaff 3-9x40.
For varmints it gotta be my Marlin model 60 .22lr tube gun.
