One kills them dead and the other kills them deader, not sure which one does a better job cause everything I have shot with either one of them has been pretty well dead when I walked up to it.
Been using Barnes X bullets since they came out in the late 80's early 90's. They will hold well with high velocities. The early ones had some problems with fouling badly so they eventually wound up having bands in them.
I have some 650 gr 50 cal TSX's that I want to try on some hogs one day. Going to lay a line of corn down and see how many are going to fall.
I haven't messed with the tipped version, but one thing I will say is that the regular TSX is probably the most consistent bullet I've ever loaded. Run them through the press, checked every single one with the calipers and every single one measured the same GOAL to within 0.001" or less. I can't say that about any other bullets that I've messed with. Measuring to the ogive is pretty consistent with most all bullets I've worked with, but measuring to the tip is certainly not.
