Why the the 6.5L? In the real world what does it offer over the 260Rem or Creedmore? Lapua does sound cool though.
It's an inherently accurate cartridge(supposedly due to it using a small primer). Supposedly very easy to load for. Burns less powder and has potential to be boosted up to near 6.5x284 velocities if wanted due to the higher pressure the cartridge is designed to take. Barrel life is great.

Personally, I think any of the three would make a great choice for a 6.5mm. I just decided to go with the x47 just because of all the good things I've read and learned.

    Blake probably knows more.

To me they just feel perfect since your index finger is already near the trigger guard
I'm going to talk to my smith about them. I've been interested in one but didn't know anyone who used them. I wonder if it might be in the way of my mag release on the HS dbm or too close to it?

Lapua brass which has a small primer pocket that allows for higher pressures. The 6.5x47L case is roughly 1/4" shorter than the 260 as you can seat bullets longer and still load in a magazine repeater

          great read ... http://demigodllc.com/articles/6.5-s...6.5-creedmoor/

I love my bottom safety. More practical location, although it takes a little bit to get used to it.

If you handload, get the 6.5x47 for the reasons stated by Cajun Blake. If not, get the Creedmoor.

It might work with the HS, I'll have to check. HS has the mag release button on the front inside the trigger guard unlike yours.

                  Thanks
