The photos are clearly stated they have to be with in 12 months with each submission....as for the finger prints...who knows, literally, who knows?

      Thanks Hillary!!!
Lol funny you mention that. When the tax stamp was originally put in place it was specifically set at a high price the majority of people would never be able to afford therefore no one would purchase them. Here we are today and the tax has never gone up and now people are buying the items left and right so they have changed the rules to make it more difficult.

Can anyone clarify this? Oh and can I "stock" up on finger prints of trustees? Like have 3 or 4 on hand so I can just pull a card out of the safe and submit? And what about efiles?

Sorry for all the co fusing questions. Anyone? Bueller?
The answer is you can roll them yourself at home, and yes you could keep multiple cards stocked up and ready to mail.

Apparently prints can be done electronically as well. Silencer Shop has rolled out 300 kiosks nationwide that allow customers to roll e-prints that SS will keep on file if you want. Their plan is to offer the service for free for SS customers and I think it was $25 if you're buying an NFA item from someone else. When I read 41P (P is for provisional, and now it's 41F for "final"), I didn't see room for e-prints, but SS knows what they're doing so I'm assuming they're GTG.

Where did you see/hear that you roll your own prints?

The kiosk may be nice. We will see.

I need Sean Cody to explain all this in English. I can't ever make proper sense of legal jargon used in these laws.

Individuals have rolled their own prints for years. The wording in the post-41F regs is identical to the pre-41F regs as far as the requirements for fingerprints, so that shouldn't change. Card holder simply keeps the card from shifting while rolling the prints. They're not too expensive, but also not a requirement.

Fingerprint ink is different from most inks. I wouldn't try to use any other forms. Sirchie is one of the recommended brands. You can check their website, or anywhere else. eBay is a very popular source.

I'm certainly not qualified to say whether that happens regularly or not because I don't know.

I do remember back before electronic fingerprints when I got my CHL I was specifically told that I had to go to the police station or some other "certified/qualified" (don't remember the exact verbiage) to have my fingerprints done for submission.
