Thanks for the info! I guess I'll save the Mini Mags for my rifle then. My local Academy has a BUNCH of .22 in stock.

Plus about double that behind the counter. I'll swing by and see what they have in sub sonic.

The CCI Standard is right at subsonic out of my MP15-22. With the Sparrow on it, all you hear is the action noise. I wish they made the standard in a hollow point. They punch right through a coon without slowing down much. Takes several shots most of the time unless you hit CNS.

Most all of the bulk pack stuff stays sub out of the pistols as well.

I topped off on the CCI SV today, ran them out of stock. They still have plenty of all kinds of HV stuff, so I wasn't being a hog. Plus other folks have had their chance at it too. I grabbed 300 of the Quiets as well, for a little back yard varmint control.

Bear, I have a little tool made by a guy over on RFC. It is a stainless cylinder that basically looks like you cut the chamber off the end of a 22 bull barrel. The very tip of the nose of the 22 bullet sticks out. Then you just take a razor blade or very sharp chisel and slice the end of the bullet nose off. Basically it takes it from a RN design to a large flat point design like what is becoming very popular with the handgun hunters nowdays. IMO it helps increase the damage/wound channel over what a RN creates, making them more effective on game. Kind of time consuming just for random shooting, but for selective hunting it helps.
