They are heavy. I'm using load data for 1.75 and 2 oz shot loads.

Bear in mind that shot creates more pressure than slugs do.

Hammerhead SPW sabots. These are design to stay with the slug and not disengage. I really like these:

And this load I call the Tri-ball. It's 3, 330 gr .60 cal balls loaded in a steel shot wad. Perfect for deer and hogs under 50 yards and in thick brush. These pack a punch on both end. I'm getting a 3-5 group at 50 yards. 3" mags are loaded with 28 grs of Bluedot. The 3.5" mags are loaded with 33 grs of Steel.

Holy smokes. All of those look like they'd kick the poopy out of anything on either end of the gun.

Have you shot anything with any of these before or are you just trying out some new ones you built?

All of the slugs I've reloaded have very mild recoil. The only exception is are the triballs and I'm sure the boulders.

I haven't shot anything YET, but I plan on it this year.

Those triple whammy shells ought to do some damage. I like those and the giant v-max lookin slugs. It should be interesting to see what they'll do on a hog.

Those are a little on the small side. They are 300 gr .500 SW FTX boolits.

I'd be interested in the ballistics and accuracy on these when ya get the info.

That tri-ball looks awesome! I've shot one pig with the 3.5" with 00. And wasn't impressed. But those may make me rethink using round balls again.

I've developed some awesome loads using 1 oz Lee slugs and the BPI blue sabots. However, I left a year worth of data on the bed of my truck and it rained. [emoji26]

However, here's a few of my groups during the early stages of development:

Full bore 12 ga cast slugs

Reloading slugs is by far more involved than pistol or rifle reloading. You have to worry about which powder, charge weight, hull length, fold or roll crimp. List goes on and on.

I love to tinker and I consider myself to be a true shotgunner. It's part of the fun!

And brother you wasn't lying about the USH being a beast!!! That joker is 11 lbs without the scope or mount! I named it the Behemoth.

I still have that 20 ga Ultra Slugger. Haven't shot it yet, but everyone raves over them. Perfect spot and stalk weapon.
