I don't understand the anger at 30.07 signs. If I owned a business I wouldn't want to drive away customers by having people display their guns. You can still carry only have to do it concealed. Seems like they are supporting gun rights, but are trying to protect as much of their business as possible. Now 30.06 are a whole different matter to me. If you post a 30.06 I WONT do business with you.

First HEB, now you have to give up Whataburger too...

It's the right of the business place to reject carry, and I reject doing business with those who do. Never ate at Whataburger anymore anyway, and the transition from HEB to Krogers was quite painless. Even though I carry concealed, I won't do business with those places who prohibit legally licensed people to carry.

I don't open carry and don't plan to, but I don't really like the idea of places posting the 30.07 either. Not sure why.
I'm just curious about something....for all the guys that carry concealed and don't care about the 30.07 signs, would you feel the same way about HEB or Whataburger if they posted 30.06 signs at all their stores?
Not a trick question. I'm just curious if that would change your attitude or if you'd leave your pistol in your truck to get a hamburger?

Considering that the VAST majority of public places in the state have no 30.07 signs, I would have to believe that a company will receive much more flack by actually posting the sign vs not posting it.
Just my speculation.

I don't speak for everyone, in fact when it come to the matters or firearms and carry since I have common freakin sense I speak for none of the boycott club.
30.06 or 30.07 makes no difference to me. If I need something they have, the choice is mine do I need it bad enough to leave my pistol in the truck? If yes, I go in. If no, I move on.
Freedom isn't just yours, it's everyone's. They aren't restricting your 2nd amendment, they're protecting their own rights. It's THEIR property. If you want to force your views one someone else, be **** well ready to have theirs forced on you when the pendulum swings the other way.
Me, I believe if you don't like guns, don't buy one. If you do, buy them until you're broke.
If you wanna carry, carry where you **** well please unless you're on someone else's property and then abide by their rules or move on but don't throw a hissy fit because they won't bend their views to suit you.

I have read several boycott this place out boycott that place cause of a sign...
I get it. It's OK for us to exercise or rights to open our concealed carry without fear of reprisal YET it's not OK for them to do the same...
smh'
FWIW I'm a Marine veteran
My step dad fight in Vietnam
My maternal grandpa WWII
My paternal grandparents cave from Germany in 1934 & 1938. That makes me 2nd generation immigrant.
They all fight for our freedoms.
Not just yours it mine but HEB and WB too. I personally dislike saying my rights trump your rights, ACS in the context of this post it can be intimated that my rights supersede yours because I have a gun.
That raises the question in my feeble mind. Is that really the message we want to send.
I chose to carry concealed.
I like the option of being and to OC.
I'm all for you to OC if that's what YOU CHOOSE to do. Heck if if I see you I may stare and point at your pretty holster with a gun in it, than see if I can figure the beach and model. Kinda of like a where's Waldo :-)
Anyways enough rambling, Carry On!
