I have seen the gun cases the Feds decline to prosecute, I'm not worried about something that small.

Actually someone here posted the case.

Seems their house was burglarized, cops came to take report, wife opened the safe to retrieve the laptop they keep household inventory on, cops saw NFA toys, they were registered to the husband as an individual, didn't go well for them from what I remember.

Yes I know that's a long run on sentence. Bite me. [emoji12]

So a federal weapons charge is a "small violation"?

One of the most significant benefits of a trust has not changed. That is passing the NFA items to others on the trust upon your death. The last thing I want is for my family to have to pay a 200 transfer fee for every item on my trust when I die. The other benefit is that my wife/kids can take my NFA toys out and shoot them without me having to be there. Still significant benefits to a trust.

Copied from another thread on here

For the life of me I can't figure out why people are so opposed to getting a trust set up. It's stupid simple, cheap in the big scheme of things and offers several benefits to having one.

Are you dense enough to think that specific language will be in the law?

I interpret laws for a living, and yes it's usually that simple

The police that arrested the wife did they file under state law or arrest and file federal? You are safe under Texas law from any nonsense like that, but another state can have very different language

I'm convinced already he isn't worth responding to. He just wants to rile people up.

Not trying to rile people up just trying to stop the "I heard a story from a guy this one time" and back things up with fact and case law. I am trying to find some now, wrong or right if I find something I will eat my words

Actually up until the last legislative session suppressors and other NFA items were still illegal under Texas PC and your F1/F4 form was simply a defense to prosecution. But I'm sure you already knew that. So I'd be interested to see how you thought she would be protected from that nonsense in Texas as you say.

So if they felt she had access to them she could have been arrested under Texas law if she wasn't on the F1/F4.

Mikey...A lot of tbh members are selling trusts on here to make their case for sales. Our motives are out & he interprets law for a living!!

We need to find another clown to victimize.

I was hoping to get on here and read the process of getting a suppressor but...... Apparently that's not what this thread was about

I'm just trying to challenge the source of some of the stuff flying around websites. guess we're not going to agree here, no hard feelings though
