My Ruger mkII 7wsm with 22" sporter barrel is my worst. Not terrible but it's the worst I have.

My dad traded for a .300 Winchester Mag about 25 years ago. We took it to the range and it kicked way worse than any gun he, or I, had ever shot. Dad was trying to zero it in and he put a sand bag between the rifle and his shoulder. Before he shot a dozen rounds, the stock split! We figured out why the guy wanted to get rid of it. Dad saw him about a year later and he admitted he couldn't shoot it, it kicked way too hard.

Winchester Model 70A, in the late 60s, 300 WM. That thing left purple bruises on my shoulder. I was using a max handload, I recall 74.2 grains of 4350. Every time I shot it at the range (Abilene gun club range, out by Phantom Lake), the other shooters would pack up and leave. The muzzle blast would flatten the weeds in front of the firing line. I ended up fabricating a shoulder pad about 3" thick so I could tolerate it, but finally I just had to let it go; it just wasn't fun any more.
