I have never been much of a Ruger fan.

If you want a good looking wood stock, I'd add an X-Bolt Medallion to the mix.

I like the bolt medallion but I'm just not sold..... I use to have a browning micro Midas in .260 that I LOVED. But it was stolen a few years back. It's a shame that they don't offer the .25-06 in the micro..... We wouldn't be having this conversation

I have a vanguard s2 synthetic in 223. Like it so much I considered getting another caliber in the sporter edition. Today i ended up getting another in synthetic in 7mm-08. Obviously i'm a fan

I don't know about the new Vanguards, but I've got a Vanguard in .300 Win Mag. It has been my go-to gun since I purchased it new in 1977.

Wife really likes her Vanguard S2 in Bonz. Its a shooter, I wouldn't hesitate to get another.

Tikka hands down. I have 2 t3's one in 25-06 and I love those rifles. Shoots great with factory ammo. Imo best factory rifle for the money
