Beautiful gun! I love my 26, 28 looks like it's going to be a beast of a round also.

      28 Nosler

I found an old post about your 28 Nosler build. I was just wondering if your still loving this gun? Could you tell me what the completed gun weighs? I have a similar build that I’m working up loads for with the 195’s. My gun does not like factory ammo. I bought some Nosler 175 ABLR but they were too hot. The bolt was sticking & at 200 they did not group well at all. Shot some 195’s out of it but the best load (grouping wise) only gave me 2850 fps. Little disappointed. You ever get to work up a 195 Berger load?

Man that's a beautiful rifle. I just purchased me a Seekins in 28 Nosler. I have been very impressed with the ballistics of this round.

What length and twist rate is your barrel?

Good looking rifle! Just curious if you ever considered working up a load using Barnes Bullets? I use them exclusively in my 7mm RUM and while not only very accurate, they are devastating on the game.

Have you considered the 180? It seems to be the sweet spot for the 7's and gives up little to nothing in performance.

As in anything, there's a point of diminishing returns and for most it seems the 195 is that point.

I feel the 156 in the 6.5 will be the same. If you look at a ballistics chart there's little difference between it and a 140 VLD until you reach 1000 yards unless you can start it really fast.

I haven’t yet but I may have to. Guess I got stuck on the 195 since it’s supposed to be the cat’s meow. Then again I may have to get my mind off 3K fps.
