28 Nosler Build Ready at APR

    Awesome build!

Curious what prompted the barrel maker switch?

Thanks all, I'm exited to try this bad boy out. If it shoots like my .26 Nosler, I'll be a happy dude for sure.

I was planning on the Nosler 175 LRs, but those new Berger 195 EOLs have my interest. I believe my Bartlein is a 1x9, so it should stabilize them. Especially at 28".

I have both bullets on hand, so I'll start with the 175s and work towards the 195s.

Availability. The original blanks from Douglas would not finish at "28. APR had a Bartlein on hand, so that's what I did to get 28" of barrel length.

          Makes sense.

I expect you will be very happy with it!

                    Another fine looking bang stick.

Can't wait to see how it shoots.

I think the 28 Nosler will hunt. First 3 shot group. Only 6 down the tube. These are factory 175 ABLRs.

Looks like my load development might start with a duplicated factory round. I'm going to pull one in a bit and see what the powder and charge is.

All these guns are making me want one. What kind of a price range would I be looking at

If the freaking pipes in my house ever stop busting I'm getting a rifle from you guys. $10k in house repairs in 3 months has depleted gun funds but dang those are good lookin rifles

Did you have a 28 done to jake? I just got shipping confirmation yesterday on my barrel from bartlein. I did a 3B contour 5R 8.5 twist. Looking to shoot the 195's. How's yours shoot?

                                Good looking rifle OP
