Sounds like I'll be saving a little more and looking for a NF. I definitely don't want to get the viper then wish I would have saved a little more and got a NF instead. Is the NF SHV a good scope for the money?
How about the bushnell elite tactical line? I have seen several of those used on ebay for pretty good priced...

Yes the SHV is a great scope for the money. It is in my opinion the best long range scope for under 1k.
