What scope would you get?

I picked up a Colt LE901-16SE and will be needing some glass for it. I'm thinking I want to go the usual route and make this a hunting rifle with a scope on it. Anyway normal shots would be out to 200 but I may end up shooting farther if I get a place to shoot. Also what rings or mount and what about an after market trigger?

A guy has offered me a VX6 3-18 50mm with a Larue mount for $850.

Nightforce scope of it was mine. But that leupy is a good price, don't think I could pass on it.

X2 on the opinions, but I've found I could do everything out to 300 yd. with any good 3x9 or 2.5x10 . CMC or Timney trigger group.

I have always liked that power range. It's a little more than a 3-9, but it's not a boat anchor on top of your rifle.

Either one with the MOAR reticle and MOA adjustment.
Both are 2nd focal plane.

I would shoot for the NXS first (smaller obj lense and higher end scope), then the SHV. But that VX6 still sounds like a good deal.

No brainier on the vx-6 if you don't use it on this rifle you still pick it up... You'd be vortex fanboy dumb to pass it up.
