The atacr seems to be the best option under 4k from what I'm reading. Probably the way I'll go

Anyway, the highest glass I own is a Swarovski and it's fantastic. But it's a hunting scope and probably not well suited for dialing turrets a lot.

With glass, IMO much over $1k gets you to a point of diminishing return. You can spend a whole lotta extra money for minor gains. I'm sure S&B, USO and scopes of tat ilk are as good as it gets but I can't say whether they are that much better.

Ironically I've been perfectly happy with all of my Mk4 scopes, even though I own several with better glass. I'm not out there depending on them to save my life or anyone else's so I can't justify the extra cost of the others.

Hell if someone can make a 2 mile shot with a Vortex, how much more do you really need?
The furthest I'll pack it is from the truck to the parking lot to the range. That thing would be a back breaker in the mountains

Kahles....skmr reticle. Dang good scope. I'm not a fan of s&b due to their reticle options. Tangent theta and Steiner are two options as well. And yes, they blow the mk4 out of the water. As they should considering the price is twice as much haha. I'm running the Steiner t5xi. I really really am impressed for the money for sure. Reminds me of a premier. Glass in the premier has a slight edge in clarity.

If you can spend the money then yes, the big boy models are worth it. However, they are not bullet proof. I was at a shoot today and an s&b broke on a 50 bmg.
