Can you post a pic so I can see the bore? Is it concentric? I doubt it is but curious.

I had a smith recently thread one of my custom guns for a suppressor that had a Kreiger barrel and the threading was slightly off center to the outside of the barrel, but was true to the bore. Have him test fire it when you pick it up, but it's probably not an issue and is more on the barrel quality than the GS's quality

OP, before you flip out on the gunsmith have him show you how he indexed the barrel to cut the threads. The bore channel just may not be perfectly concentric when measured from the outside barrel diameter across the length of the barrel.

It's not off center but tilted upward... and he already confirmed that a cleaning rod in the barrel pushes on the bottom of the exit hole in a can.

Try on a piece of graph paper for lineage, calipers, Test it, get a second opinion from an expert. Not much you can do but see if he will buy your gun and get another.

I had a second opinion today and took it by elk castle they looked at it and confirmed the threads are severely out of line with the bore. I talked to the gsmith that did the work and he said he will just replace it.

Sucks but hes doing everything he can to make it right at this point. Hopefully its just a gun you bought and not a hand me down from family or gift etc... make new memories with this one and find a new smith although he has my respect for buying you a new gun.
