728 yards on a very unlucky hog who made a really bad decision and wandered into our range in the middle of me practicing. My Remington 700 in 270 delivered a 130 grain Hornady directly to his heart. His two buddies made bad decisions and ran directly towards the base of the cliff we shoot off of. One died to a 7 mm at the 400 yard gong and the other one made it to 150 before the 6.5 creedmore my buddy shoots added a large hole to his head. Craziest day at the range I have ever had.

Two at 550 yards, 1st was an 8 pt in Del Rio with Remington model 700 in 270 win shooting 130 gr remington bronze points, 2nd was a bull elk in Colorado with remington 700 in 7mm rem mag using Federal premium ammo and 140 gr trophy bonded bear claws. Elk dropped in its tracks and the deer ran maybe 100 yards.

Misses at 600 yards are funny?
Targets, sure. Game animals, though? Why pull the trigger?

HF ranch, we were killing off the natives. Sorry to hurt your feelings. Kicked dirt under her all four times. I only took two of the shots.I wouldn't take a shot I wasn't sure of under normal circumstances.
off the porch, nuttin' but dirt.Last edited by Chad C; 03-18-2015, 11:14 AM.
