    You're right that it doesn't do anything that the .260 doesn't do. It just does it better. It's a more efficient, better designed cartridge. That said, only a gun nut would trade a good .260 for a 6.5 Creedmoor. Someone starting out could be well-served with the 6.5 rather than the .260.

          I'm biased but I have a 260 and have had another 260 in past. My vote is 260! Can make brass from 308, 7-08 etc.

            I keep hearing how it's more efficient, better design and all that jazz but no one has been able to explain why the feel that way.

            I'm well versed enough in cartridges and loading and I don't see it. I know the case is slightly shorter. But all thing being equal, the 260 CAN still out perform the Creedmor. Q
