I hunted pigs one season with a Mossberg 500 w/ Leupold 2-7 and Brenneke rifled slugs. It shot about a 2.5" 3 shot group at 100 yards. Devestating on pigs.
If I did it over I would try Sabot loads as mentioned above. Maybe even use a 20 ga instead of a 12. It will do the trick in brush for sure!

I have shot deer and pigs with the same bullet and some exit some don't. I all matter what you hit along the way. Some deer you can get an exit but still only leave a small drop of blood here and there.
Based on what you want I suggest the below bullet. Should give you a blood trail to follow and if you can get it in a hollow point should fix the tracking issue as well. Like mentioned previously you cant always get everything you want in the bullet especially when you want the same bullet to perform the same at 50 yards and at 200 yards.
As far as the slug gun, that is an option but someone on here shot an 8 PT with one in LBJ and get no blood either.

I had the same experience you had with a sierra game king in .25/06. Entered from same angle but left side rear rib (gut actually) and lodged under skin at right shoulder. Massive internal damage and deer died within 30 yards but no blood. I am going to stick with Nosler Partitions. Never shot any angle but broadside with the NP's but they blew through every one.

For one season I shot a scoped 870 with a 3" lightfield slug, I believe it was about 1 3/4 oz at 1600 fps. It was a killer but the recoil was so brutal quick follow ups were nearly impossible. I forgot about my new brush gun, its a CZ 550 fs in 9.3x62 with a 1.5-5 leupold. I shoot a 300 grain solid at 2200fps, zero at 100 and you are good from 0 to 150. belive it not that solid will leave a good bloodtrail. It will penetrate thru nearly 4 feet of hog.
