Dad killed two one morning with his Golden Saber SD loads out of the .45 ACP. Did the trick just fine, now just if remington would make some more

I shot a few pigs in a figure 9 trap with a 45ACP using Winchester Ranger ammo and multiple shots were required. One little 60#'er took 6 to the chest/shoulder area and finally one to the noggin to take down.

Me too. Haven't shot it at anything yet though.

I have two 41 Rem Mags. One is a Taurus Ragin Bull with 4x weaver. The other is a Ruger Bisley Hunter SS no scope. Both are 100yd guns. I shoot handloads with 270gr gas checked LeadHead cast bullets, 19.5 gr of H110 and mag primers. Hogs don't have a chance. I chose the 41 mag because it is flatter shooting than the 44 mag and I feel it gives me a bit longer range and has more than enough KO. The Ragin Bull with scope groups 2" and better at 100yds off of a pistol rest.

I shot a pig with a 30-06 and ran up and unloaded my Taurus .357 mag into him.

Partly out of necessity, partly for fun. That was the start of my still-continuing hearing loss.

Wear ear protection, pistols are very loud.

I'm working on a trade now for a .44 mag revolver for just such occasions.

You can kill them with a .22 if shot in the correct spot. I would say .357 or bigger. No need for anything bigger than a .44 mag. My choice, Ruger Super Blackhawk, .44 mag. I also like Ruger .45 cal'S.
