    Revolver to KAP

I'm considering getting a revolver for hunting pigs. Anyone do that? Do you have any recommendations for caliber or specific gun? Any pics of your setup?

I really like the look of the s&w m460V. Shoots 454 casul. Seems like that may be more power than would really be neccesary but man it's a pretty gun.

Thanks for any tips or feedback.

That's another great looking gun. Any complaints? Do you use an optic?

I like the ruger Alaskan 44 mag. My next one will be the 454 I think. Although my 357 mag has proved to be enough also.

I'd say the 44 mag would be hard to beat

No complaints other than the recoil is let's just say brisk.

No optics. Killed a buck a couple years back at 55 steps with open sights.

Hunted with but never shot at anything, with my granddad's 6 inch 629 .44 mag
I had a doe at 3 yards last year, I was waiting for the buck behind her to come out, but he wasn't there he woulda been toast though!

I killed a couple out of my treestand several years ago with my Model 19 .357 mag shooting 158 gr soft points. I hate magnified optics on handguns so I just used the irons. Plenty good at 25-35 yds

I've killed several with a buddy of mines 460xvr. I shot them through the shoulders and they didn't take a step. Super cool wheel gun, but it's a lot of pistol to lug around. I personally like the ruger super blackhawk hunters and own a super redhawk that I like a lot.

I'm a diehard ruger 44 mag man I have let's just say 1 or 2 ruger 44s that I had before my boating accident. But one of these days I will get a s&w460 I love em. And I like the 460, 454 and 45lc option

Never shot anything hog size with a handgun but pretty sure .357 would work

This is what I have. Mine is topped with a Bushnell 2 X 6 variable scope. Have killed deer out to 100 yds

Thanks for all the information. Is the 454 casul ammo hard to find?

Most larger retailers carry it, I.E. Bass pro, cabelas, academy and of course lots more selections online.

In a pinch you can shoot 45LC.
