    Anyone send their 700 to remington?

    sent mine out as soon as the recall came out in April, havent even shot the gun yet and its already gone. Anyways, I havent heard anything from them except the notification that they received it and the dang website wont let me check the status and I've been on the phone waiting for 30 minutes.

    Anyone heard anything back?

      Replaced my trigger with A Jewell trigger. Problem

          Yeah, bad trigger. I bought it from a dude that hadn't even shot it. Looked good. A week later, recall. I figured I wouldn't shoot it anyways, so sent it off.

                      I'll probably still end up changing out the trigger. Figures is rather have an extra working trigger than and extra junk trigger

                        Sent mine back last Friday. It made it there today. Guess I can post back when I get it back, no idea of time frame. I do know that if you have a scope on it that they say they won't cover cost of removing it, reinstalling it and sighting back in. Only offer the lame coupon of 40% off crap I wouldn't buy anyway.

                          I replaced mine with a Timney. I did however send them my model 600 vent rib for a bolt problem. They have had it for 3 months and keep telling me they are waiting on parts....

                            They have proven track record at being horrible trigger guys.... not being able to make safe triggers... What is to say the replacement will be any better?? Remington's word? At this point it's a pretty safe bet that it won't be.

                            I have a rifle that fell in the recall... Already had a replacement trigger so I kept it in the safe.

                            Buy a timney or a Jewell and be done with it.. No hassles of shipping a firearm and waiting for it to come back. And you get a proven reliable trigger that breaks like glass.
