              26 Nosler ???

It's going to be a screamer. Nothing (except maybe a Lazzeroni) will hang with it.

Here is a ballistic chart using factory ballistics.

With hand loads and a 28" barrel I bet it will shoot 140 VLDs at or close to 3500 fps.

It will be a devastating long range hunting round.

My next build will be a 26 Nosler or one of these.

Either way it will be built with a 28" proof research barrel and titanium action.

Will be putting a AAC 338 Ti can on it.

Pretty excited to say the least. Have the bullets, and the 2 powders and chrono ready. Just need dies, brass, and a gun!
Quick question. Why a 338 can?

Im waiting to see real world results on this round.

Because it's my best can. To be honest.

With all my experience with cans, the diameter has little impact on the sound reduction compared to the quality of the can sitting on the end of the barrel.

My titanium can has the best sound and this is going on my premier rifle.

Heck, full custom guns are hitting 3500-4500 with standard barrels!

Agreed. More volume inside the can always helps with the DB reduction. I was just curious is all.

Someone post feedback when you start shooting this round!!

When is yours gonna be finished Travis?

Actually, you need the volume to keep from destroying your can. 7.62 cans can't take magnum pressures, and even a can rated for .300 Winchester may not have enough volume for a cartridge like the .260 Nosler.

I believe my stock is arriving in the next week or two? I would say mid to late June? It's going to be too hot for me to do a lot of shooting with it by then. I may do some small scale testing of accuracy and grouping at reds since they have a 100 yard Indoor range.

you're shopping in the wrong places T-berg

custom hunting rifles with $1200 custom actions can be built for $2500-2800 all day long ; this would include a Jewell trigger and McM or Manners stock

IMO, some smiths will ask Jarrett $$$$ b/c select customers have deep pockets and aren't knowledgeable about the entire start to finish process

if you shop around and buy all the parts yourself, you can keep the budget under $3000

deciding on a PR CF wrapped barrel will add another 1K to the above price

True to a point. Depends on the suppressor you choose. TBAC, Specwar, and many others will handle it just fine.
