I don't really care what they are called, but I do understand where your coming from "sort of". I have the same issue every time a liberal opens their mouth......

Think they are cartridges, or that is what is on the box. Reloading components include bullets, cases, primers, and powder to make a cartridge.

Shells (or shotshells) are typically used in a shotgun, or that is what is on the box.

Right and how often do you say hand me that box of cartridges? I would bet nobody who has posted on here says that, I would bet 100% here would say hand me that box of bullets or hand me that box of shells. I guess we need to starting getting all **** about that one as well?

I try not to let it bother me but for some reason it does. Its one of those things I cant control. I guess the extra training I received for calling it that in boot camp really drove it into my head.

Not everybody has had the above stated special training. I've been putting bullets in "clips" and "clips" in my rifle since I was a little kid. Is it the correct nomenclature? No. Does it change how straight I shoot? No. But to each their own.

I wrote "clip" on all my mags. Magazines are just an old form of ****.

Aren't there a million things the military uses a different term for than the general public? I'm sure most of you don't get mad when someone uses "bathroom" instead of "head" or "latrine".

It doesn't bother me one way or the other, though I will personally use the term magazine

These are CLIPS. M1 Garand Clips.
These clips are feed or loaded into the magazine.

more clips. Last one is a clip of 308 ready to load into an M14 magazine. (Now an M1 A selector switch has been filled in)
