    AR ignorant

Ok folks, I am going to get an AR relatively soon, not because I need one but simply because I want one. The problem is that there is eleventy billion choices out there and I am, unfortunately, ignorant AR ignorant
I started looking and trying to decide, but with Sig Sauer, Colt, Armalite, Wyndham Weaponry, Palmetto State Armory, Smith & Wesson, etc....... I have no idea and need a little push in one direction or another.
Budget isn't really an issue meaning I could go out and spend $2000 if I wanted to but is there really that big of a difference to justify that big of a price difference between all of the makers. Obviously I want a good weapon and want to spend as little as necessary to accomplish that.
What are the differences between these firearms. What would you choose and why

Any and all help is appreciated

Can't go wrong with Colt! There's really no reason to get anything else IMO.

What do you want to do with it?

If I had $2,000 to spend on an AR I'd go with a Daniel Defense hands down. They're the best off the shelf AR on the market in that price range.

IMO, unless you are going to run 10,000+ rounds through one, any you listed will be fine. I'd pick a cheaper one (Smith, Colt, or build a PSA) and customize it with whatever the heck you want.

Agree. Especially if you are testing the waters on the platform. I think a good trigger is more important than the brand, and most factory triggers suck

I dont think there are any out there that are bad just depends on what you want. I would buy a less expensive rifle and then buy the add ons you want. Trick it out and have fun with it.

2000 is a great budget AR!
750 for a decent shooter and 1250 for a pile of bullets!!!!!

I would look around and see what features you want on the gun and figure out how much that would cost you. If you are going to change out the stock, trigger, handguard, muzzle break, grip, etc etc etc...then it might be worth your time/money to buy a lower and pair it with an upper of your choice, or build one.

Off the shelf, you cant go wrong with the Colt, or like Ike said, Daniel Defense.

Also, what are you going to use it for? This will narrow it down considerably.

                  Some questions to consider.
Weight. Do you want it light to carry, or heavy as a bench gun?
                  Optics. Scope vs Dot sight?
Rail: Are you going to be mounting stuff to it? do you prefer long and slender? quad?
Muzzle break: Comp vs Muzzlebreak? Combo?
Stock: gotta figure out what you want the gun for. Collapsible vs fixed?

Have fun with it! They are a dude's Barbie doll.

Colt 6920, BCM of your liking or Daniel Defense of your liking.

Those are all excellent platforms to build from.

Just wait until you start looking into customizations.

BCM and LMT are other good options.

To me the colt 6920 is the bang for your buck quality rifle.
