I did my renewal Nov. 16, still shows waiting on background check. They best hurry up, mine expires in 3 weeks.

I received mine 1-1/2 weeks before it expired.

Yes...You can also email it. I emailed my confirmation of my online renewal and payment. I got an email a few days later that they received my info and were processing it.
